Faustin BAGABO has an LLM in Public International Law from Kigali Independent University (2015) and holds an LLB with First Class Honours, from the National University of Rwanda (2013). He is also a holder of Post graduate Diploma in legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD) in Nyanza – Rwanda, 2015 and different trainings on Human Rights and Research and publication of articles. Faustin joined the School of Law in the mid of 2015 with young enthusiasm, backed by his solid academic performance, recognized by the National University of Rwanda as the best graduate of the Law School and the whole University in the academic year of 2013. Before joining the School of Law, Faustin served as legal consultant at the Supreme Court of Rwanda where he gained expertise in preparing Rwanda Law Reports. He also served at the Center for Legal Aid and Mediation and later at Fountain Advocates, one of the leading Law Firms in Rwanda as the Associate Legal Officer.He is also a legal practitioner registered in the Rwanda Bar Association (RBA) and East African Law Society (EALS). His research interest is in Public International Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law, Human Rights and Criminal Justice. Faustin is a native speaker of Kinyarwanda and has excellent command of English, French and has and Swahili.
