Me Emmanuel Turatsinze is an Assistant Lecturer at the School of Law, University of Rwanda, where he teaches several private law courses, including Private International Law, Tort law and Commercial Arbitration. He is a certified mediator, distinguished business lawyer and a practicing member of Rwanda Bar Association and East African Law Society. He was a member of the Commission that worked with the Parliament to review of the Constitution of the Republic of Rwanda of 04 June 2003 in 2010. He served in secretariat of National Security Symposiums in 2015 and 2016. In his time in the UK, he successfully co-run the Manchester Entreprise project under the University of Manchester’s Legal Advice Center and Manchester.

Emmanuel holds: - a Master’s degree (LL.M) in International Business and Commercial Law (with a first-class research thesis) from the University of Manchester, the UK; - a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (DLP) 2015 from the institute of Legal Practice and Development; - Bachelor’s degree (LL.B) in Law (with first class honours)  from the University of Rwanda.

Emmanuel is a native speaker of Kinyarwanda and has excellent command of English, French and has a working knowledge of Spanish and Swahili.

His areas of interest include Business and Commercial law, Banking and Financial law, Contracts and Torts Law, Employment and Labour, Alternative Disputes Resolution as well as Competition and Intellectual Property Law.
