Mr Serugo Jean Baptiste obtained his law degree from Kigali Independent University in 2003 and master’s degree (LL.M) in Human Rights and Constitutional Practice from the University of Pretoria (South Africa) in 2006. Prior to Joining University of Rwanda, he has been involved in legal education where he has served for more than nine (9) years in private universities as a permanent/visiting lecturer and trainer in various law subjects. Moreover Mr Serugo Jean Baptiste is an outstanding Senior Lawyer practicing law with Nest Law Firm providing legal expertise in the areas of Criminal law, Labour litigation, Administrative litigation, Succession and Property law cases, Human Rights and Constitutional law cases. He is a licensed Advocate in Rwanda and the East African Community since 2011 and has worked for various law firms as well as the Legal Aid Forum. He has an outgoing, diligent personality with exceptional attention to detail abilities that make him an exceptional Lecturer.
